This, is apparently the upcoming Model 3
Kinda looks like a cross between a hot hatch and a wagon!
I’m skeptical, I honestly expected something Chevy Bolt-sized.

Well, the front end styling is predictable.

How bored are Tesla designers? No wonder so many jumped ship to Faraday.

I just came here to tempt you with this: http://maine.craigslist.org/cto/5473716470…

Hey that looks like a Tesla

In its grainy glory it looks like a Focus hatch. Heh.

It looks like someone left the Model S in the dryer a little too long.

That is one chunky Malibu.

So the majority of Oppo will love it? Greaaaaat

This is what happens when engineers design things.
I, for one, am perfectly fine with it

They melted a Model S?

I suddenly need a small loan of $5500. :D

For this reason I call shenanigans. Who carries a phone with this low of a picture quality.

Bolt sized? I never expected it to be that small. Tesla said they were going to compete in the midsize luxury sedan market (i.e. 3-series, etc)

I assumed it would look like a smaller S. I’d like to have one. I’m hoping by the time I need a new car for my work/daily duties electrics will have enough range and be affordable.

This photo has been around since the Model X preview in October. Some people said it’s a mule , some people said it’s a Model 3, Some people said it’s something else. I guess we’ll see!
Here’s the screenshot from October:

Perhaps someone took a pic at a great distance? Most phones still only have (crappy) digital zoom. :(
![]() 03/31/2016 at 14:57 |

You do. I’m willing to bet it was very, very far away and this picture is cropped from a much bigger HD one.

Good detective work! IMO, if it’s a Tesla, it’s probably the Y...The 3 is supposed to be smaller than the S...this thing slots between S and X...
![]() 03/31/2016 at 14:59 |
|
Well, now the C&D link has the same info. No real detective work needed!

Ah fooey. Well time to edit!

I think I am more scared that he has a “This Car Climbed Mt. Washington” Sticker on it. I would be afraid of blowing off.

Heh, slots between the S and the X. I think we all know what slots in there...

Can’t be many of these bad boys kicking around the states.

Probably a Nexus 5x ;)

Was just kidding around. That was my fault for the poor translation of it.

Ouch! That smarts!! Ha, actually, I’ve never tried the digital zoom.
EDIT: Oh god...abort! Abort!

That would mean that smart attended 2013's National smart Rally, which featured a Mt. Washington hillclimb. :)
ETA: Starting from 2010, there’s a National smart Rally in the USA every 3 years (yep, there’s one this year). Unlike the official EU smart rally (which tends to pull in 3,000+ smarts from all over the globe), the USA version usually has 100-200 cars total.

The diesels are incredibly rare, like I’m 100% positive there are less than 15 in the USA. They come down from Canada and can only become legalized through jumping through tons of hoops.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 16:29 |

Or bring it to a state that doesn’t care.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 16:33 |

That’s usually what happens. They come down from Canada to Florida (one of the only states that will not care), get registered, then distributed to a lucky buyer somewhere.

Yeah it’s not great.

Haha I only said it because I saw you on the phone recommendation thread. But this response is hilarious!
